Ballet
Boys & Girls 6-18 years

Training: the foundation for all other dance styles. It teaches precise movements, grace, posture, flexibility, and discipline. Through a structured class they will learn body stance, arm & head positions, basic barre, moving across the floor, and jumps. Pointe preparation begins at level II.

Girls’ Uniform : Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair should be in a bun.

Boys’ Uniform: White shirt, black shorts/pants, black ballet shoes
Jazz/Tap
Boys & Girls 6-10 years

This is a combined class of Jazz and Tap

Jazz: an energetic style of dance that incorporates different leaps, jumps, and turns. It teaches center control, strength, and flexibility.

Tap: form of dance by using the sounds of metal tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion and rhythm. In this class they will learn coordination, rhythm, and musicality.

Girls’ Uniform: Dance pants or spandex shorts with or without tights. All modest t-shirts, tank tops, or leotards are acceptable with tan jazz shoes and black tap shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Boys’ Uniform: Sweatpants, shorts, t-shirts, or tank tops. Black jazz shoes and black tap shoes.
Jazz/Contemporary
Boys & Girls 9-18 years

This is a combined class of Jazz and Contemporary

Jazz: an energetic style of dance that incorporates different leaps, jumps, and turns. It teaches center control, strength, and flexibility.

Contemporary: movement combining the controlled legwork of Ballet and Modern/Lyrical dance fundamentals. Contemporary is the most abstract of the dance forms. Tumbling & ballet are recommended to advance.

Girls’ Uniform: Dance pants or spandex shorts with or without tights. All modest t-shirts, tank tops, or leotards are acceptable with tan jazz shoes, half soles, or neutral color dance socks. Hair should be pulled away from the face.
