Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, Voice, & Ensemble Lessons in Richmond, Texas

Welcome to Rhythmz! In our Rhythmz Music Program, we strive to share the love of music with our students and encourage them to use music as a way of expressing themselves. We offer Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, Voice and Ensemble classes. Students will be introduced to all different genres of music including Classical, Modern, Pop Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Ragtime, Musical Theater, Disney, and more. 

No experience is required! We work with children and adults at all levels of music training. Practice and repetition are a necessary part of any musical/instrumental training and students will be given assignments to practice at home. All of our classes are year-round and scheduled as private lessons with the exception of our ensemble classes.

Piano

Weekly Class Recommendations
5-8 years: one 30 minute private lesson recommended (Kickoff Plan)
9+ years: two 30 minute private lessons recommended (Pro Plan)

  • Piano students will be exposed to a variety of styles, including classical, contemporary, pop, and jazz. They will develop finger dexterity, learn to play expressively, and gain a solid foundation in music theory, sight-reading and ear training. Students have the option to learn both solo and accompaniment versions of songs.

Guitar, Bass, & Ukulele

Weekly Class Recommendations
5-8 years: one 30 minute private lesson recommended (Kickoff Plan)
9+ years: two 30 minute private lessons recommended (Pro Plan)

  • In our guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons, students will learn to play chords, riffs, and scales, as well as the fundamentals of strumming, fingerstyle, and soloing. They will be introduced to music notation or tablature, and explore songs from various genres such as blues, rock, folk, and country.

Voice

Weekly Class Recommendations

9+ years: two 30 minute private lessons recommended (Pro Plan)

  • In our voice lessons we will work on vocal health and wellness through learning to breath properly and provide support to your voice without stressing the vocal cords. Vocal intonation, vocal agility, song interpretation, stage presence, and tips for using a microphone.

Drums

Weekly Class Recommendations

  • Learn the fundamentals of drumming, holding sticks properly, drum rudiments (sticking patterns), keeping time, limb coordination, basic rock beats and simple songs. Advanced training is also available.

Ensemble Classes

  • Take your playing to the next level as you learn to jam with other musicians! Rhythmz Ensemble brings students together to build teamwork, master new songs, and express creativity. Perfect for students who want to hone their playing ability, boost their confidence, or simply have fun. Available as an add-on to individual lessons.
